What is the deal with several exchanges, HITBTC for one, saying the BTG wallet is under maintenance, for weeks or months. Is this for real, or are they up to no good?

Most Exchanges have brought their wallets back to normal operation after last week’s successful Network Upgrade, though they might have had very long confirmation requirements before the Upgrade (for safety) or shortly after the upgrade (while waiting to confirm stability.)
Sorry @MentalNomad for the confusion, HITBTC is up and running. The exchanges that are still down include: Bittrex, Huobi, Gate. I’ll keep waiting for these guys to catchup. Thanks for your advice.
